Our local MP and Government Minister is very keen to show his support for local and rural businesses and came to the Gidding Cake Company on Friday 17th July along with a reporter from the Hunts Post to mark an official launch. Although The Gidding Cake Co. has been trading since September 2008 our company continues to grow from strength to strength, with an ever increasing customer base and we wanted to take the opportunity to welcome new customers and thank our existing customers for their support.
Although gracious runners up, The Gidding Cake Company had the honour, recently, to be a finalist in the Hunts Post food & drink awards in the category of 'best local food producer' beating many other local companies to the final.
THE Food and Drink Awards, back for their fourth year, celebrated the great restaurants, pubs, producers and chefs that are creating the dishes and goods that are tantalising our taste buds.
The awards, run in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council, sought out your favourite places to eat and drink and pit them against the very best the district has to offer.
As well as finding the areas top restaurant and pub, we were also looking for Huntingdonshires best food producer, the best junior chef, where to get a great start to the day with the best breakfast, and the areas best independent food retailer
We've had several wedding cakes & desserts travel to their destinations all over the UK, but we are proud to have received our first order from Canada! The order came in today the 3rd of December from a couple residing in Nova Scotia!
